ABOUT US

our mission

The mission of Hope for Teens is to provide support and positive feedback in the Raleigh, NC area for teens that feel bullied, cyber-bullied, or otherwise outcast. Hope for Teens looks to provide a non-judgmental atmosphere where teens can speak openly and honestly about issues and concerns in their lives whether it be bullying, cyber-bullying or anything else teens go through.

All teens are an important part of society and should be treated as such.
All teens should be listened to, regardless of differences in opinion in whatever they do.
All teens should have the right to be proud of who they are and what they believe; even if it isn't considered "popular".
All teens deserve to be loved and cared about and all teens should know there's hope.

how we started

Hope for Teens started because too many teens feel helpless and scared and need hope. When teen Tyler Clementi jumped off of the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey he was the 12th teen to take their life in six weeks. Twelve teens too many. Teens need to know they are important and regardless of their sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, religion or any other difference they may have. There are people that support them and we can give them hope.

There are still more teens out there scared and not sure what to do. Hope for Teens hopes that those teens will speak up and help get their confidence back. We can help teens in the Raleigh, NC area, and we want to.

"When Tyler Clemente jumped off the bridge, it changed my childhood. It changed my life."
